Dave will be at Taupo Funeral Services, 117 Rickit Street, Taupo from Monday, September, until 2.00 pm Tuesday, September 26, where friends are welcome to visit and farewell him. The funeral will be held on Tuesday, September 26 at 3.30 pm at Taupo Funeral Services, 117 Rickit Street, Taupo. Per Dave’s wishes, there will be no live stream from the funeral. A private cremation will follow.
ROPER, Roy Alfred. NZ9807 S/LT RNZN – 2nd WW All Black 515 Died peacefully on 14th September 2023, in New Plymouth, aged 100. Dearly beloved husband of the late Doreen. Loved father and father-in-law of Bryce (deceased), Stuart and Helen, Guy and Julie. Loved Grandad to his 7 grandchildren and GG to his 15 great-grandchildren. In accordance with his wishes a private cremation service for Roy has been held. His life has been celebrated by all his immediate family at his recent 100th birthday. He will be sadly missed. McCleary, Henry John (Jack) Q.S.M. 10492, A.B, RNZN, WWII Aged 97 years. Passed away peacefully on August 29th, 2023. Loved Husband of Yvonne Margaret (nee McCullough) (Deceased).
