Adored father of Jack, and Isabelle. Dearly loved son of Graeme and Sandra. Brother and brother-in-law of Lucy and Tony Eade; Vanessa Baker, Dave and Lianne McCone, Alastair and Nikki Baker, and their families. HARRINGTON, Robert Randell (Bob) Ex-Royal New Zealand Navy No. 5303 (WW2) Died October 17, 2020, at Hastings aged 98 years after a short illness. Loved husband of the late June (nee Smith), father and father-in-law of Wayne and Seline (Australia), the late David and Tan (Thailand), Michael and Awhia, Warren and Gaylene, the late Elizabeth and Paul Simpson, Gayle and Glyn Jones, Peter and Melissa (Australia), Kathryn and Tony Reeves and Garry. Loving and much-loved grandfather of 15 and great grandfather of 32. He was much loved and will be sadly missed but never forgotten. A family service was held on Thursday, October 22, 2020.

HINTON Peter Ernest S/No. NZ17131, RNZN, Petty Officer Radioman. Passed away peacefully 18 October 2020. Loved husband of Ann and father of Sarah, and Paul and daughter-in-law Megan. Loved grandfather of Mia, Dylan, and Jake.. Loved brother and brother-in-law of Robert and Peggy, the late John and Maria, and Susie and Bill. A private service for Peter will be held on 24 Oct 2020 at 01:30 PM.

Mac DONALD, Alexander (Mac). ABSEA Gunner RNZN 1963-73Passed away peacefully at home in Rotorua on October 11th 2020 with his beloved wife Suzy at his side. Mac will be sadly missed by his children, family and friends. You can never cross the ocean unless you have the courage to lose sight of the shore The service to celebrate Mac’s life will be held at the Rotorua Crematorium Chapel on Wednesday, October 14th at 11am.

REYNISH, James Stephen (Steve): Service No 15924 Petty Officer RNZN. On October 7, 2020, peacefully in his sleep at Ultimate Care Lansdowne Court, Masterton, aged 81 years. Loved husband of the late Annie. Loved father of Dean, Rhonda (deceased), Paul, and Carmen, and granddad of his grandchildren. Loved brother of Patty, Jill, Shelagh, Doreen, Christine, Vivenne, and Mark. A private family farewell has been held in Masterton. MILLAR Andy Have received advice that Lt Cdr Andy Millar, RNZN Rtd, has CTB in Canberra on Saturday morning after a battle with Parkinsons. Andy was a TAS Officer who after completing his time in the RNZN, joined the RAN and worked as a desk officer on the Collins Submarine Project then retired from the RAN when that project wrapped up. Apparently well known amongst the RAN Submariners. A funeral service will be held in the RMC Duntroon Chapel at 1200 on Saturday, 17 October. RIP Andy.

SEARLE, Kenneth David (Ken). RGTLNo: 10748 Naval Airman Second Class RNZN WWII Died peacefully at Dargaville, 9th October 2020, aged 94. Treasured brother and brother-in-law of the late Betty and Peter Connolly, Norma and Henry Hoddinott, and Cherrie and Bryn Davies. Adored uncle of Katy and Lee, Gail, Ted and Sharon, Rhys, Teena and Glyn. Cherished great uncle and great-great uncle to many. A service for Ken will be held at St Peter’s Anglican Church, Te Kopuru on Friday 16th October 2020 at 1.30 pm, followed by burial at Redhill Cemetery. Messages to Ken’s family may be sent C/- P.O. PORTER, Delme Woodham John (Del). Ex RNZN ABSEA Gunner Born 12 Jul 1971. Peacefully, surrounded by whanau at Whakarewarewa on October 4, 2020. Precious husband of Sharon, and father of Nevaeh, Deleiyn (Meretitia) and Ricco. Beloved son of the late Thomas and Ani Porter. Adored brother of Wiki (dec), Mark, Tom, Moea, Neil (dec), Kathy, Leina and Jane. Will be sadly missed by all his nephews, nieces, extended whanau and friends. Tangi to be held at Hurunga Te-Rangi Marae, Ngapuna on Wednesday, October 7 at 11 am. To be followed by burial at Peka Urupa, Horohoro.

WATT, John Joseph MBE. RNZN 13678 – WOMAA Passed away peacefully on October 1st 2020 after a long battle with Parkinson’s. A treasured husband to Lois for 58 years, loved by his children and their partners Brenda and Paul, Michael and Gerrie, proud adoring grandfather to Mark, Grace, Chelsea and Briana, and loyal friend to so many others. Many thanks go to the family at Greenwich Gardens for the outstanding care and love they provided our Dad. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Neurological Foundation to support their research into Parkinson’s.
