SICKLER, Stanley Robert (Stan). RNZ Navy Serv No NZ16033 P.O.EL. Born 28th June 1940. On Sunday 5th November 2023 at Papamoa Beach Care home passed away in his 83rd year after a long illness. Cherished husband of Lynette. Dad and father in law of Stan, Angela, Brian and Leanne. Loved by all his grandchildren and great grandson. Special thanks to the care team at the Village hospital.

TURNER Tania Monique (Tan) – From DCNS: – It is with great sadness that I inform you of the passing of Tania Turner, a valued member and friend of our Navy Whānau. Tania, known to many of us as Tan, was one of our longest-serving civilian staff members and also a former Naval Reservist who directly helped and supported the careers of hundreds, if not thousands of Officer’s across our Navy. Many of you will know of Tan, as our Administration Officer for the Naval Officer’s Career Management team and had served in that role, under various iterations for over three decades. The loss of a friend and colleague, who has had such a wide and enduring effect in her role supporting so many careers, will be deeply felt and we send our Navy’s heartfelt condolences to her family, friends and shipmates of HMNZS WAKEFIELD and HMNZS OLPHERT. Loved and loyal companion of 24 years to Geoff; dear friend of Geoff’s son Mark; brother of Kay and Pamela; brother-in-law of Tony; uncle of Eugene (Gene) Forman and Sherry Eriksen (USA).
