⚓️Jim Blackburn BEM Has Crossed the Bar
It is with great sadness that we advise you of the passing of Jim Blackburn BEM, who crossed the bar 16.08.2016.
Just three weeks ago, Jim celebrated his 100th birthday, surrounded by his family and many friends. He was a gentleman and a leader, hugely loved and respected by all who knew him.
Funeral arrangements are being made by the family in conjunction with the Royal New Zealand Navy and will be held at the Devonport Naval Base later this week. Further details will be circulated to as soon as they are confirmed.

Geoff has crossed the bar peacefully on 25th of August 2026 in the comfort and love of his family. Forever in the hearts of his many children, grandchildren and great grandchildren, and his partner Cindy. A private cremation will be held. A memorial service to celebrate Geoff’s life will be held on a date yet to be advised.
