VOSS, Walter John. Service No. 10617, Ord Seaman, (Achilles), RNZN, WWII. On March 29, 2014 peacefully at his home (Orewa) surrounded by his family. Aged 87 years. Dearly loved husband for 61 years of Gladys. Loved father and father in law of Darryl and Sue, Gary and Annette, and Murray and Eva. Loved grandad of Jamie, Cheyne and Philip. A Service to celebrate Wally’s life will be held at Silverdale and Districts RSA Clubrooms, 43A Vipond Road, Whangaparaoa, Auckland on Thursday, the 3rd of April 2014 at 10:00 AM followed by a private cremation. GRIGG, Peter Cracroft (RNZN9182) (Late of Surrey Hills) – On March 27, 2014, at Holly Lea, Christchurch, aged 91 years, loved husband of Philippa, loved father and father-in-law of Robin, Paul and Sara, and Ros and Mike Dodgshun, dearly loved grandfather of Nicola, Gemma and Hamish, Amanda, Arthur; Felicity and Hamish, and Ian and Louise. The Service for Peter will be held in St Barnabas Church Hall, corner Tui Street and Fendalton Road, Christchurch, on Tuesday, April 1, at 1.30pm.
FLAVELL, Alfred Dennis (Fred). WW2, RNZN 1332. Died peacefully in his sleep, at home in his 95th year, on 18 March 2014. A private memorial service was held on 20 March 2014. HARRIS, Clement (Royal NZ Navy Signalman No. 11587, Korean War Veteran) – On March 10, 2014, in Cambridge, aged 84 years. Treasured husband of Beverley for 62 years. Loved father of Stanley and Eileen, Raymond and Carol, Julie and Peter, Peter and Monica, Gordon and Deborah, Gail and Martin and the late Steve. Loved granddad of 13 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. With family in New Zealand and Australia. Will be sadly missed. A private service has been held.
TIMLIN Roy Boothby. Service No 816005 Steward RNZN. On March 13, 2014 in Whangarei aged 80. Loved brother and brother in law of Charlie (deceased) and Dorothy, Uncle of Cath and Rose and Great Uncle of Gareth. A private cremation has been arranged. Roy’s ashes will be interred in Christchurch at a later date.
