KNIGHT, Derrick Alfred RNZNVR(A) Fleet Air Arm WW11. On Sunday 22nd June 2014 we lost our dearly loved Patriarch, aged 94. Treasured husband and friend of Agnes Josephine (Jo) for over 70 years. Loved and respected father of Antony and Pam (Brisbane), Margaret (Auckland), Martyn and Robyn (Mangawhai), Rose and Ernie (Kawerau). Grandfather of 13, Great Grandfather of 23 and Great Great Grandfather of 2. Derrick had a short but painful illness but was carefully nursed and cared for by the wonderful staff of Whakatane Hospital to whom we will be eternally grateful. A celebration of Derricks life will be held in the chapel of Willetts Funeral Services, 21 King Street, Whakatane on Friday 27th June at 11am followed by a private cremation. BROMLEY, Ian Thomas Gordon (Ian) U19361 RNZN LME Passed away suddenly at Auckland Hospital on 22nd June 2014; aged 63 years. Dearly loved husband of Deirdre. Much loved father and father in law of Tracy and Anthony, and Kane and Annalese. Adored grandad of Jade, Tayla-Shae, Elijah, Tyler, Devan and a proud great grandfather to Makayla-Jade. Close friend of Suzanne – his first wife and mother of Tracy and Kane. Loved brother of Nola, the late Clarrie and the late Doreen. A Celebration of Ian’s life will be held at the Silverdale and Districts RSA, 43a Vipond Road, Stanmore Bay at 10.00am on Friday 27th June 2014, prior to cremation at North Shore Memorial Park. You are invited to pay your final respects between 3pm and 6pm on Thursday 26th June 2014 at Forrest Funeral Services, 39 Riverside Road, Orewa.
WRIGHT Jack Charles NZ9601 RNZN WWII, On 20th June, Peacefully at Khandahar, Masterton in his 92nd year, Loved husband of Barbara and the Late Rona. A service for Jack will be held at Rosewood, 415 Queen Street, Masterton on Monday 23rd June at 1.00pm followed by private burial.
LARKINS, Aline Helen. Died suddenly 19th June. Her ready laugh and flamboyant colours will be sadly missed by her daughters Linda and Tanya, their husbands Keith and Phil and grandchildren Reid, Xanthe, Alexandra, Aedan and Roisin. Her death has left a hole in the lives of her sisters Tricia and Raewyn. CUTLER, Anne Annesley (nee Hodges) (2nd Officer, WRNS 1941-46) 27.7.1923 – 11.6.14 Peacefully at Silverdale Hospital, Christchurch. Beloved wife of the late Edmund, much loved mother of Andrew and mother-in law of Genevieve, loved daughter of the late James and the late Mildred Hodges, much loved cousin of Michael and Gillian Barnes (Barnstaple, UK), dear friend of Pam Thompson, and Auntie Anne to Barbara, Steve, Trish, Margaret, Alan, John and all their families. A good and brave life, very well lived. Thank you to the kind staff of Merivale and Silverdale who cared for Anne.
