Malay Veterans Association 'Selamat'

Further to John B’s photo of some of us at the Officially titled ‘Inaugural Post-War Malaya/Malaysian Operations Commemoration’ which  will now be commemorated on 16th September each year.
I have copied out the relevant pages of the Malay Veterans Association ‘Selamat’ magazine which explains more about the origin of the push for Malaya recognition of service in that theater from 1949-1966, which has now been formally recognized after all this time.  It does make interesting reading.   Mike Catlow
