The Ministry of Defence has apologised for “any offence caused” after leaked emails appeared to show the Royal Air Force asking for a non-white non-male pilot to represent the service at the new Top Gun 2 premiere.
The email, which has been circulating on social media, appeared to ask for applicants to get in touch.
The email also pointed out that “shy guys get no cakes” and urged anyone interested to apply as soon as possible.
