Use of the Navy Hospital (RNZNH) by Retired Personnel

I am not sure if you are aware, but retired personnel may utilise the surgical facilities at the Navy Hospital under the following conditions;

Non-military personnel may have their ACC and Non-ACC surgery performed at the Navy Hospital. The Navy Hospital offers a range of surgery with short waiting times and at competitive prices.

Orthopaedic

The Orthopaedic Surgeons are Mr John Tonkin and Mr Matthew Walker.  Orthopaedic clinics are held every second Monday afternoon and Tuesday morning.   Most lower limb and upper limb surgery is performed at the Navy Hospital with the exception of hip and knee replacements.

General Surgery

The General Surgeons are Mr Ian Civil and Mr Hsee.  General surgery clinics are usually held on most Fridays of each month and a wide range of general surgery can be performed.

Nose and Throat

The Nose and Throat Surgeon is Mr Bren Dorman. He attends patients in his rooms and performs a range of nose and throat surgery at the Navy Hospital.
