East Coast Bays RSA Update
We have had many questions and comments on when we plan to re-open the club. To shed some light on this subject below are some key dates on when we plan to have the club operational again.
As some are already aware our Medals Restaurant is back up and running in full swing as that area was unaffected.
Key Dates:
Restaurant: Open as per normal
Monday: Closed
Tuesday: 12pm – 2pm Lunch
Wednesday: 12pm – 2pm Lunch, 6pm – 8pm Carvery
Thursday: 12pm – 2pm Lunch, 6pm – 8pm Dinner
Friday: 12pm – 2pm Lunch, 6pm – 8.30pm Dinner
Saturday: 12pm – 2pm Lunch, 6pm – 8.30pm Dinner
Sunday: 5.30pm – 8pm Buffet Night
Downstairs Bar: We are aiming to have the downstairs bar operational by Monday the 8th of June but if work is delayed it may stretch out to Monday the 15th of June. As there was extensive damage at the rear end of the building only half of the downstairs clubroom will be operational. The upstairs bar in the meantime will be open throughout the day and evening.
Housie: We will be restarting housie on Thursday the 21st of May upstairs in the restaurant. Housie will start at the usual time of 7.30pm
Pool and Snooker: Due to the extensive damage at the rear end of the building the pool and snooker tables, as well as both clubs will be out of action until further notice.
Bowls, Dancing and Entertainment: All these areas will be out of action until the downstairs bar is back in action in early to mid-June.
All other clubs and activities are still operational at their scheduled times in the upstairs area.
We will constantly keep everyone updated on everything that is happening at the club and when we re-open the downstairs area. Thank you for everyone’s patience.
Women’s Section Monthly Meeting
The monthly Women’s Section meeting will take place on Wednesday the 27th of May in the restaurant at 11am.
Upon entering all section members will receive a complimentary beverage. After r the completion of the meeting members are welcome to buy their own lunch at our fantastic restaurant and enjoy some great entertainment.
During the day they will be running raffles and will be going around with a collection for the recent fire.
A message from the Executive
Dear valued member, as you are aware the ECB RSA building suffered extensive damage as a result of fire and you also know that it is the RSA mission to provide services in our community. The task of rebuilding requires dedication and hard work. Presently we have managed to reopen the restaurant and working round -the -clock on re-opening the main clubrooms very soon.
At this very crucial time it is imperative for the members to come together as one unit because as always RSA relies on the generosity of its members for commitment and support. It is apparent that without the assistance of community-minded individuals like you, we wouldn’t be able to serve those who are relying on the RSA in our community.
Therefore, we are appealing to all our members to please express your much needed support by making a cash donation of just $10.00. We certainly hope that you will be able to make a contribution in rebuilding the RSA. Your generosity will make a difference in our community by allowing us to continue in our work.
Thank you in advance for your support.
Welcome to your new Secretary/Manager – Scott Evans
Please support Scott, I am retiring and just assisting Scott at present especially with the getting the club back in order which as you can imagine is quite a job. I have really enjoyed the privilege of being able to work with you all here for so long and wish the club every success in the future. The RSA is a very vital part of the community. Please support YOUR club. I will let you know when I finish – good luck Susan.
