Bevan is an OUTSTANDING example of the word PROFESSIONALISM. He is ‘gun barrel straight’; throughout his long and distinguished naval career, it is notable that Bevan set the standard for those wishing to aspire to higher communicator office. He will be remembered as a man of high integrity who generously shared his vast radio communication knowledge to all and sundry regardless of their rank/rate. Another RNZN communicator legend has been promoted to heavenly heights. Rest in peace, Bevan, and enjoy the accolades, fun, and laughter of your shipmates who are now waiting with ceremonial Guard and Band to pipe you onboard.
