China recently celebrated the launch of its third new-generation aircraft carrier, the Fujian, at a dry dock in Shanghai.
The new-generation aircraft carrier, the first ship to be designed and built in the country, is expected to rival Western carriers.
According to satellite images, the Fujian is roughly 320m long with a displacement of 80,000 tonnes – making it bigger than the UK’s two aircraft carriers but smaller than the ones in the US.
