Walking the Camino de Santiago in Spain

After life in the Service these three ex communicators continue to search out the
world’s challenges. They can currently be found in Spain walking the renown
Camino de Santiago (Way of St James) to the Cathedral of Santiago de
Compostela, some 830km. Along with hundreds of other ‘pilgrims’, the girls face
a daily 25 to 30km walk over sometimes very difficult terrain.
“Even after six months of training it has not all been plain sailing”, said Dearne.
“Blisters, infections, bruised muscles and tendinitus are among the injuries we
deal with on a daily basis. However, it is all part of the adventure and we are
loving it”.
