Visit to Bonga Crengle
I went down to Riverton yesterday for the day and on the way home called into the cemetery to pay my respects to Bonga. It was very peaceful there and only a stone’s throw from the Riccarton racecourse where Bonga was a racing steward. I served with Bryan on Royalist, DTRC Wellington (lived next door at Cannons Creek) and Waikato. A great human being and I will have learned a lot from him over the years. If anyone is ever down that way and pay their respects, he is interred in Lawn Section 14, Plot 6.

My Grandfather, Sam Derbyshire adopted him (took him on board) when he first joined the Navy, remember him and Jen well. Bob Overton
