Online event, where we are answering your questions

We’re inviting you and your family to join us on a Zoom meeting on Wednesday 31 May, at 6:00 pm. We’ll be answering commonly asked questions, plus some of the ones that we have received so far during the registration process. These range from questions about entitlements, application processing times and services that we offer. Reserve your spot now, and we will send you all the details to join the Zoom early next week.

You will need to reserve your spot so click on this LINK and they will send you the joining instructions.

Annual satisfaction Survey

Our annual satisfaction survey will begin after King’s Birthday Weekend and will run for 8 weeks. It will be a phone survey conducted by the independent research organisation Public Voice. Your replies are secure and confidential. You may receive a call from them. Within their interview they will seek to understand your satisfaction with case management, applications, VIP services and our communications with you. If you receive a call and you’re uncertain about it, please call us on 0800 483 8372.

Save the date, Manawatū Palmerston North Forum

We’ll be in Palmerston North on Tuesday 27 June for our Manawatū Palmerston North veterans forum. We’ll be sharing more details about this forum and how to register next week. Watch the video below to find out more about what a forum is.

NZDF makes it easier for families to gain service records after the passing of a veteran

When serving or ex-serving personnel pass, it is common for whānau to request a statement of their service to include as part of their funeral service. To make this process as smooth as possible for grieving whānau, NZDF holds an MOU with the Funeral Directors Association of NZ whereby NZDF provides an Statement of Service for the deceased person within 24 hours of receiving the request. There are no charges for this. You can read more about this on our website

The Veterans’ Affairs magazine

Don’t forget you can read our magazine online. Read it here. The next issue is due out in August.
