United Kingdom Veterans Identification Cards (ID)

Speaking to BFBS Forces News, the Minister for Veterans and People Alistair Carns highlighted the “great announcement” and deserved “recognition” that the card will now give those who have served.

The HM Armed Forces Veteran Card is to be put on the list of photographic identifications accepted in polling stations as voter ID, in addition to the already accepted MOD 90 ID card.
This question was asked to our own VANZ, “Is it VANZ’s intention to issue New Zealand Veteran ID cards in due course”? Their reply will be forthcoming.

Here is the response from NZ Veteran Affairs….
Enquiries have been made and there does not appear to be an intention to provide a similar ID through Veterans Affairs.
Ministry of Social Development might have more information than us if there is any intentions to issue something like this.
