Well the show is all done and dusted..great turnout, even had sailors who served on Vanguard, and Albion show up (they live in the large home on the hill above Orewa). Had amazing stories of their times on those two ships..some ol’ sailors from my era turned up, Sam Cook and Bryan Shankland to name a few. The gold coin entry fee raised over 700 dollars for the friends of the library..not bad for 12hrs work…
