REMEMBER RNZAF SHELLY BAY

Many of you will remember RNZAF Shelly Bay. Below is a timeline which may be of interest. A few dates are missing like before it was transferred to the RNZAF in 1946 it was a naval base called HMNZS Cook in 1942. See this LINK. The doors to the officer’s mess still had portholes in them and always took time to remind the crabs that it was a Naval Base before it was an Airforce facility. Thanks to John B for the timeline.
