Peter (Bones) Hunter Laid Up

The following received from Julie Hunter

Just a word to say that PCH had a fall and damaged his left shoulder and arm last Friday afternoon (4 Dec). Dislocation and fracture – not good at the time and very painful. He is in hospital now and we are unfortunately looking at extended care due to stability issues.

He seems to be battling on with the limited use of all limbs, but now with stick in right hand. He has no support from the left and we need to look at full time assistance until recovery is complete.

Meeting at hospital today (Monday) a.m.

Pete is “comfortable” and I believe any pain level that is not the level of Friday’s experience (fainting with the pain) is a blessing.

Another blessing is that he is now “on the radar” re necessary/required physio.

At this stage, we are looking at recovery being something like 6 weeks.

Best, best wishes to you all.

Julie. All correspondence to petejuliebex@paradise.net.nz
