Passing of Linda Bartlett
Dear shipmates,
My beloved Linda May (nee Raethel) “crossed over the bar” last Friday 8 September after a short illness aged 82. She gave me three fine children, of whom two have sadly pre-deceased her. Whilst she was not an ardent follower of our organisation, she did enjoy the social activities and Association reunions that she attended. Now it is time for me to up anchor and move on with my surviving daughter Charmaine Louise, her family, and my grand and great grand mokopunas.
Kia ora tatou,
Wiremu(Bill) Bartlett MBE
Bill, please accept our sincere condolences on your loss. She will be missed by all. Kind regards. Frank R
Hi Bill
It was a privilege to have known Linda. She was such a great person and I will let Jan know the sad news next time I see her. As it was such a long time ago that we first met Linda, I am fairly sure that Jan will remember her. Charmaine will be great support for you. You can rest assured that my thoughts are with you.
My very best wishes
Chris
Dear Chris, Thankyou for your kind sentiments mate. Some may say “she is in a better place”. I’d rather she was still with me!
