  • It is very sad news to read of Harvie’s passing. I had the privilege of serving with Harvie ashore and afloat and I will celebrate those special times we shared together and often. Harvie is one of the Royal New Zealand Navy senior professional communicators and will always be long remembered for serving his country to the maximum extent possible. It is a truism that QUALITY is never an accident; it is always the result of intelligent effort and that summarises Harvie to a fault. The side-party are ready to pipe you aboard the good ship ‘Vault of Heaven’ to join your many friends of yesteryear. Farewell and rest easy my friend.

Gutted. A bloody good bloke. Having a couple of tots for you now my old friend. RIP mate.

RIP Harvie you were one of the best and a professional guide to many of us who learned the skills of Yeomanry directly from you or while serving alongside you in the fleet. You fought a great battle over the years and always with a positive approach. The halyards are taut, the ships are all in line and the skipper has seen the signals, time to rest old mate.

  • I missed the advice of live streaming of the funeral. Can someone repost please
