Passing of a Petty Officer Radio Supervisor
Regret to advise that Petty Officer Radio Supervisor Anthony Murray Wayne (Chuck) Berry NZ18969 crossed the bar in Canberra, Australia, today, 7 November 2025. Chuck joined the RNZN in January 1967. When he left the RNZN, he joined the Government Communications Security Bureau and was posted to the Defence Signals Directorate in Melbourne. He later moved to Australia and joined the Defence Security Directorate. No further details are available at this time. Our thoughts are with Ali and his family.
Lynne and I were very sad to read this morning of Chuck’s crossing the bar. Another great guy who has gone too early. Our sympathies to his family.

So sorry to read of Chucks “Crossing The Bar”. it was only a few months ago that I spoke to him at the
Comms Reunion in New Plymouth. Sincere condolences to his family, may he RIP.
