NZDF Medal Survey

Over 5,700 replies were received to the NZDF Medal: Have Your Say survey. The survey has now closed. The NZDF expresses its thanks to all who took the time to complete the survey.
Over 2,400 of the responses were from currently-serving military personnel.
The NZDF Medal: Have Your Say survey was the result of the National Government’s pre-election Veterans’ Policy which promised to support the Returned and Services’ Association of New Zealand’s (RNZRSA) proposal to introduce an NZDF Medal to recognise all New Zealanders who have served in our regular and non-regular forces since 3 September 1945.
The results are now being analysed. The Medallic Recognition Joint Working Group will present a report to the government on the proposed NZDF Medal by 30 September 2009.
