The RNLIs new lifeboats have a similar arangement, where their boats have a covered over well, and the boats are slightly smaller as well
Auckland Coastguard has a rescue vessel ASB that has had a configuration like that for about a year and a half now. The police launch Deodar111 has had it for a bit longer.
The Irish Navy have similar boats – begorrah!
