New Assn – Life Member

The association is pleased to announce that Peter Smith has been recognised as a ‘Life Member’ of the Association.
“Peter Smith has loyally served the RNZN Comms Association for many years and made some significant contributions to its success.
He served on the Committee for several years and continues to provide advice and guidance to the committee particularly on historical matters.
Peter played a significant part in the drafting of a new  constitution which was introduced in 2007.
A personal initiative by Peter saw the introduction of Foundation Membership in 2008 which guaranteed the continued financial viability of the association.
Peter was also the author of the Associations Communications Unofficial Branch History and he continues to add to it as well as being a regular contributor to the association’s blog.
He continues to be an active supporter of the Association attending all AGMs and reunions when possible.
The committee feels Peter is a worthy recipient of life membership and is pleased to endorse his nomination.
