Navy Open Day – 9 October 2010
THE NAVY IS OPENING ITS GATES TO THE PUBLIC!
This is your chance to look over the ships, meet the crews and be one of the first to see the new Navy Museum at Torpedo Bay.
There are lots of activities for the whole family throughout the day at both the Navy Base on Queens Parade and the new Museum site at Torpedo Bay.
ENTRY IS FREE and gates open at 10am

Parking tips: the best place to park is Ngataringa Sports Fields, at the end of Jim Titchener Parade, Devonport.
Shuttle buses will be running between Ngataringa Sports Fields, the Naval Base and the Museum. Please check the map below.
The Beat Retreat Ceremony at Windsor Reserve, Devonport is a sight to see. The Navy Band will lead an armed guard onto the reserve for a ceremonial sunset ceremony where the white ensign will be lowered to a gun salute. ceremony starts at 5pm.
