NAS helicopter gives Red Arrows impression on return from Norway

Pilots from 845 Naval Air Squadron have shown off impressive helicopter contrails in a display at 7,000ft over Norway.

Merlin helicopters were returning from their deployment there on Exercise Cold Response – NATO’s largest exercise for 30 years.

UK Commando Forces led amphibious raids in the harsh Arctic environment.

Royal Marines carried out drills on landing and raiding craft and personnel-carrying helicopters.

UK personnel worked with NATO allies – 30,000 personnel from 27 nations – to demonstrate the alliance’s collective Arctic warfighting capabilities.
