BREEN, Brian Emmet (Brian). R.N.Z.N : 4962 Born on the 3rd November 1925, passed away peacefully at his home in Papatoetoe on the 26th September 2021. WWII Navy Service, Brian served on the Leander, Achilles, Tyler, and Arabis. A veteran of the “Battle of Kolombangara” on the 13th July 1943. Beloved Father / Father in law of : Kerry and Angela Fordham (Rangiora). Wendy and Nick Griffin (Thames). Michael (Rangiora). Peter (Papatoetoe). Loved by his 6 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. Thanks to friends and neighbours for all the kindness and support in recent years, helping Bill to stay in his own home until very near the end. At Bill’s request, a private cremation has been held. TEMPLETON, Thomas Herbert (Tom). Born June 30, 1932. Passed away on September 4, 2021. Tom Templeton 89 years old passed away peacefully. Beloved husband of Lorraine (Betty), dearly loved father and father in law of Christine and David, Lance and Julie, dearly loved grandad to Tanya and Frank, and great-granddaughters Isabelle and Zoe. Tom joined in Nov 1953 and on discharge held the rank of Leading Telegraphist. He was discharged in 1960. He served in PHILOMEL, BLACK PRINCE, IRIRANGI, ROTOITI and ROYALIST.

Very proud granddad of Aaron and Aine Anderson and Jason and Vanessa Jackson. Most treasured great grandfather of Saoirse and Koia Anderson and Tyra and Marko Jackson. We can’t thank you enough for all of the wonderful things that you gave us and for the treasured memories that we’ve shared.
