The farmer, sportsman, naval officer, teacher, historian, reader, writer, philosopher, gardener, swimmer and All Black supporter, after 6 hip and 1 shoulder replacements could no longer keep on keeping on, and he has called it quits. Loved husband of Norma (66 years) and father of Steph, Richard, Viv and Tim. Father in law to Evelyn, Graeme and Rose. Proud grandfather to Matthew, Clem, Oscar, Naomi, Josh, Tina, Nathan, Kate, Ben and Samantha. Great grandpop to 8. The last uncle to Ellie, Sue and a generation.
