BARDRICK, Clifford John (John). Lt Cdr (Ret’d), RNZN, RN. Passed away peacefully on September 20, 2013 at Dunedin Hospital, after a short illness; aged 88 years. Beloved husband of the late Doreen. “Now Reunited”. Loved father of Jon, Jane and Raymond Mackay, Adrian and Gillian, Tim and Pam, and Sarah. Beloved grandfather and great grandfather. JEFFERY, Peggy M.B.E. (Service No 4271 Wren WWII) On 20 September 2013 at North Shore Hospital late of Mairangi Bay, aged 89 yrs. Dearly loved and loving wife of the late Peter. It is with sadness that we say goodbye to Auntie Peggy. Thank you for the many years of love, wisdom and humour. We will miss you. During WWII Peggy was in the “Y” Branch and was doing Long Range D/F plotting of U-Boats in the Atlantic. MUNRO, James Roseman (Jim). [RNZN 15484]. Passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on 18 September 2013, at Te Awamutu (formerly of Papakura) aged 74 years. Greetings Bill. I don’t recall Peter Taylor but I know he was a Leading Steward. He must have joined a term or two after me. Russell Hockley stayed with me here on the Sunshine Coast the week before last. Your name cropped up a few times. Hope you are keeping well.
Kia Ora Pat, by cripes nice to hear from you mate! Am still kickn. Moved down here (Rotorua) 2010 from the big smoke. Had enough of being a “jafa”!.Enjoyn life down here Quite a few ex matelots to boot. This is the missus’s home town and am now a bit closer to the Gisborne/ east coast where I hail from.Retired from pussers in “87 (too old), then did 20 years at NSD as a Clerk Stocktaker !. Pulled the plug in 2007 after turning 70.
So mate another milestone looming tomorrow when I hit 76!!
