Beloved husband of Doreen (late), loving father of Maree, Craig, Terry, Diane, Mark, Peter, Dallas and Casey. Poppa to seventeen grandchildren. A service will be held at The Memorial Chapel of St Christopher, HMNZS Philomel, Devonport Naval Base, Queens Parade, on Thursday 30th May at 11am. LUNDY, Eric David (Ric). Navy No 13627. 1933 – 2019 Loved 3rd son of the late Marian and the late David. Dearly loved husband of Maureen. Brother to Brian (deceased), and Bill (deceased), and Marian. WESTERSON, Harold Henry (Harry). NZ 10157, Leading Seaman, Royal New Zealand Navy. Apart from Tamaki and Philomel, Harry served in HMNZS Achilles during the Pacific campaign and with the J Force, as well as later, returning to Achilles and taking delivery of HMNZS Bellona. Passed away peacefully with family by him, on Wednesday 22nd May 2019, aged 90 years. Dearly loved husband of Margery for 70 years. Much loved father of Sandra, Bonny and Virginia. HEWSON, Robert Charles (Bob). On 2 May 2019, passed away at home from a short illness, aged 71 years. Loved husband of Moya for 53 years. WERE, Valentine Wilson (Val). Captain RNZN 11885 WWII. We were so lucky to have our kind and loving father, Val, for as long as we did. He passed away peacefully on 1 May 2019 at Northbridge Rest Home aged 95. Only son of the late Mary Anstruther, much loved husband of the late Joy, treasured father of Virginia and Tony, loving grandfather of Jahan and Gareth, great-grandfather of Jonathan and Kye.
