ROBERTSON/ANDERSON,Elizabeth Gwendoline (Gwen) (nee Cook): WRNZNS 531. Of Invercargill, in her 97th year; died peacefully 31 March 2018, in the loving care of Rowena Jackson staff. Dearly loved daughter of the late David and Lilias Cook. Beloved wife of Ian Douglas Anderson (dec. 1982) and adored second wife of Arthur Robertson (dec. 2002). Dearly loved mother and mother-in-law to Neil (Cardiff), Russell and Judy (Christchurch), Brent and Rae (Wellington), Maxine and the late Roger Blick. Adored Nana to Gary (Auckland), Carla (Hamilton), Jane (Christchurch), Danae (Auckland), Zoe (London), Diana (Melbourne) and Michael (Cardiff), and their partners. Treasured great-Nana to Marco, Oscar and Imogen. Special auntie to Gaye and family. Dear friend of Helen Giles. Loved and respected member of the Robertson family, Reita, Carole and Heather. WALLACE, Murray Lachlan. Service No: NZ 5728, RNZN WWII Murray passed away peacefully amongst family on his 94th birthday, 31st March, 2018, at 7 St Vincent. Loved husband of the late Shirley, much loved father of Grant and Helen, Tony and Alison, Diane and Bryce, and Wendy. Adored Poppa to Ben and Pippy, Timothy, Raymond and Marcella and Stephen, Cameron and Nicole, Alex and Gary and great grandfather to Peter and Cleo, Lachie and Sam. Murray will always be remembered for his enthusiastic full of life approach to every family endeavour and many more. Special thanks to the staff in the Care Unit at 7 St Vincent. Carl is laying at RNZ Naval Te Taua Moana Marae, Ngataringa and on Saturday will be carried to the Whatuira family Marae, Wairoa, prior to a family service.

BESWARICK, Cedric John. 621267. Petty Officer RNZN, C.M.T. Army, Cpl. RNZAF Sadly passed away on Saturday 24 March 2018 at Radius Althorp Hospital, Tauranga aged 85 years. Dearly loved husband of Dianne. Loving father of Gael and father-in- law of Ray. Much respected stepfather of Neil, Karen and Julie. Proud Poppa and grandad to all his grandchildren and great grandchildren. NEWPORT, Bernard Walter (Wallie): Reg. No. 8095; Sub-Lieutenant, MTB 505, RNZN, WWII. Passed away peacefully on 22 March 2018 at St Joans Hospital and Rest Home, Hamilton, aged 95 years. Beloved husband and best friend of Betty. Loved father of Diana and the late Leonard (Melbourne), Jilliene and Phil Beale (Hamilton), and Barrie and Sharon (Gore). Much loved grandfather of Heather, and Michael; Justine and Craig, and Karl; Alicia and David, Loren and Chris, Rhys and Kelsi, and Blake. Passed away on March 12, 2018 peacefully at home in Auckland, aged 89 years. Life member of the Ponsonby Rugby Football Club. Beloved husband of Val for 58 years and much loved father of Carol, Linda and Gordon. Devoted and loved grandfather to Rebecca Jeremy Oliver Logan, Sally Ben and Joshua. KING, Basil Raymond (Blue): #13645 – Able Seaman RNZ Navy. Passed away peacefully on Saint Patrick’s Day, at Anthony Wilding Retirement Village, aged 82 years. Adored son of the late Reginald and Cathleen, much loved husband of the late Marianne, beloved father and father-in-law of Marc and Maree, Doreen, Amanda and Sam, and Rana.
