BAKEN, Raymond RNZN9110 (Gambia). Passed peacefully on Sunday 2nd June 2024 at Riverstone Retirement Care Home, aged 96 years. Cherished by and devoted to his wife June for 68 years. Much loved and proud father of Wesley (deceased), Priscilla (deceased) and Andrew France, Christine and David Prattley, Allister and Carolyn, Don and Margaret Anne. Honoured friend to Angus. Loving grandfather to Hadassa and Tony, Madison, Ezra, Josiah, Michal, Leah, Hana, Talia, and Destiny, and great-grandfather to Evelyn. The family thanks the Riverstone staff for their skilled and compassionate care for Ray. TYREE, Mervyn William. LME NZ15801 RNZN. Passed away peacefully at Strathallan Lifecare, Timaru on Thursday, 27 June 2024; aged 85 years. Dearly loved father, brother, brother-in-law, uncle and friend to many in New Zealand and Australia. The Service celebrating Merv’s life will be held at Aoraki Funeral Services Chapel, 160 Mountain View Road, Timaru on Wednesday, 3 July 2024 at 11 am, followed by an interment in the Timaru Cemetery. WATSON, Allan Douglas (RNZN NZ16930). On 24th of June 2024, passed away peacefully at Auckland City Hospital, aged 80. Loved husband of Leonie. Step-father to Michael. Brother-in-law to Sheryl, and loved uncle to Jason and Jacqui. A dedicated community member of the Salvation Army, loved friend and community member to many.
