QUINCEY, Colin: CDR RNZN, LT RN. C23117 1978-2001 . Very sad to say that after a short battle with cancer Colin passed away on Monday night 9 July 18. The family will be having a memorial in Auckland the weekend of the 21st – details soon.Colin, at age 17, Colin left his home town of Yorkshire, England to participate in the tall ships race around the world, After sailing the oceans of the world, New Zealand became his home and the desire for adventure began brewing. After serving 25 years with the Royal New Zealand Navy, Colin has worked with disadvantaged children in Tonga, Thailand and Cambodia

MURRAY, Michael James (Hose, Skin) 19580 ABSEA RNZN. Mike joined the RNZN 22 Jan 1969. Mike was born in 1952 and CTB on the 7th of November 2017, age 65, at home in Ngatimoti, suffering Motor Neuron Disease (aka ALS or Lou Gehrig’s disease) for about a decade. Ngatimoti is a rural area out of Motueka. The sculpture in the photo, he’s next to was his design. There are a series of them around the Wellington city council, and two of them in Courtenay Place, Wellington. POC is his son Jay Murray.

Dearly loved husband of Ngaire (nee Johnston) and much loved father and father-in-law of Bev and Robin Sage, Ian Baker and Jane O’Malley and Colleen and Richard Loffhagen. WILLIAMSON, John Keith. J19098 ex RNZN. Born March 31, 1951. Passed away on June 10, 2018. John’s final act played out at the Kaikohe Care Centre, his final bow at 1pm on the 10th June, 2018. He had been produced by Joyce and Jock Williamson of Pirongia (Te Awamutu), with co-starring siblings, Heather, Ian, Bruce and Stuart. His subplot consisted of in-laws Steve and Peggi; nephews and nieces Ahren, Jared, Niki, Azure-Dea and Ben. John had a supporting cast of amazing friends from the wonderful community of KeriKeri. We are incredibly saddened by his final curtain call. He will be remembered at The Packhouse, KeriKeri on Wednesday 20th June at 2pm.
