SPRAGGS Richard Kendall (Dick) RNZN NZD 3890 17.09.1923 – 29.06.2017 In his 94th year of life, fought the good fight for the last time on 29th June 2017, surrounded by family at Bupa St. Andrews. Loved husband (and sparring partner) of the late Lorna. Adored dad of Peter and Bernice, Deb and David, the late Richard and Adrienne and. NOAKES Steven Miles It is with profound sadness that the Australian Defence Force announces the passing of Lieutenant Commander Steven Noakes. Steven was a much loved husband, father, brother, uncle, son and proud Navy member. He devoted 36 years of his life to serving his country and for that we couldn’t be more proud of him. When not home with his family, he was most happiest when at sea with his crew. We wish to extend our thanks to his shipmates and colleagues who provided such a rewarding and joyous career to Steven over the years. His life has made a significant impact on all those who knew and loved him. Defence requests that the media respects the family’s privacy at this difficult time.

KYLES Wayne Arnold AIKEN South Carolina USA – Mr. Wayne Arnold Kyles, 74, died Monday, June 12, 2017 at University Hospital. Mr. Kyles was born in Christchurch, New Zealand, son of the late Henderson and May Kyles. While in New Zealand, he served with the New Zealand Navy, and was a Warrant Master at Arms. He was also a member of the Church of England. He is survived by his beloved wife of 54 years, Helen Joyce Raynel Kyles; son, Dr. Antony H. Kyles, New Zealand/Aiken; grandchildren, Austin Wayne Kyles, Garrett Glenn Kyles; great grandchild, Karter Kyles; brothers, Terri Coote, New Zealand, Brad Coote, New Zealand. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Toni and Paul Kyles. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, June 15, 2017 in the Shellhouse Funeral Home chapel.
