ROBB, Allan RNZN Petty Officer REL #16549 Passed away peacefully at the Hospice South Canterbury on Sunday, July 7, 2019, surrounded in love. A devoted and loving husband of Janice (Jan) for 55 years, and a caring father and father-in-law of Andrew and Suellen, Tania and David. A much loved and treasured Popsie of Luke and Zack. A loved brother and brother-in-law of Lillian, Bill, and the late Don, Bob, Jimmy and their families, and Helen and her family. A cherished uncle to his nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, donations to Hospice South Canterbury would be appreciated and may be left at the service. Messages to PO Box 4041, Highfield, Timaru. A celebration of Allan’s life will be held at the Lascelles Hall, 17 Wilson Street, Timaru (behind the Church), tomorrow Wednesday, July 10, at 1.30pm, followed by private cremation.

GRAF, Vicki It was with shock and sadness that I received a message whilst in London, from Sam, Vicki Graf’s son informing me that she had passed away suddenly on Tuesday NZ time. Vicki joined the Navy as a Medic in my intake on the 1st of August 1977. She served for several years until the mid-1980s. She will be fondly remembered by many for her sense of humour, enjoying a good Disco at the JRFC and being a loyal friend to many, both while she served and she continued to be so to some of us. RIP Vicki

ROWARTH, Barbara (nee Macky). Peacefully and gently on 5 July 2019 at Bruce McLaren Care Centre, aged 95 years. Beloved wife of David for 75 years. Adored Mother and Mother-in-law of Rick and Sandra, Diane, Mike, and Shelley. Cherished grandmother of 7, and great-grandmother of 14. Veteran 4th officer of WRNZNS, one-time police volunteer. A service to celebrate Barbara’s life will be held in St Columba Presbyterian Church, 480 Ti Rakau Drive, Botany on Friday 12 July at 2pm. No flowers at the family’s request.

SOLOMON, John Te Tarehu RNZN – No 17277 10.3.1946 – 5.7.2019 Passed away peacefully at Tauranga. Loved husband of the late Anncy and companion of Janphen. Dearly loved father of Kelly and Hope, Tatiana and Manuel Brown, Linda and Lee Aldworth, Kirikau and Wiremu and Jo. Cherished brother and brother-in-law of Kaye and Eddie, Allan and the late Amiria, Trevor and Lyn, Te Paea and Larry. “Rest easy sailor, your watch is over, your part of the ship is squared away and secured. Calm seas and fair wind as you cross the bar, stand easy.” John is lying in state at Matau Marae, Clay Road, Levin.
