Died at home at Rawhiti Pensioner Flats in Rotorua on Sunday 16th in his 91st year. Originally from Wellington and Hutt Valley. Then at Tokoroa until 2012 and then onto Rotorua. The last of 5 siblings, survived by nieces and nephews. A private cremation has been held.

On February 8, 2025, suddenly at home; aged 83 years. Dearly loved husband and best friend of Denise, loved and respected father and father-in-law of Helen and Bence (United Kingdom), Honor and Konstantin (Singapore), Simon and John (Waiheke), and loving Pop to Olivia.- A service for Matt will be held in Hope and Sons Chapel, 523 Andersons Bay Road, at 11:00am on Thursday, February 13, followed by private cremation.

On 28 February 2025, peacefully at home surrounded by his family. Dearly loved husband of Robyn. Loved and respected Father and Father-in-Law of John and Emma and Sarah. Much adored Grampa of Lucas and Sophia. Loved younger Brother of Helen and Norma. Loved Uncle to his nephews and niece. Charles touched the lives of all who knew him with his warmth, kindness, and generous spirit. He will be deeply missed but forever remembered in the hearts of those who loved him. A service will be held at The North Harbour Chapel of Dil’s Funeral Services, 185 Schnapper Rock Road, Albany, on Wednesday 5 March at 10:30 am, followed by private cremation. In lieu of flowers donations to Harbour Hospice North Shore, Takapuna, Auckland would be appreciated.

A celebration of his life will be held at the Papanui RSA at the Papanui RSA at 2pm 22nd February.

CTB peacefully at the Hospice South Canterbury on Friday, February 21, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. A much loved and loving husband of Pauline and a supportive, loving and caring father and father-in-law of Tania and Duncan Saunders, Neil and Maree, Jackie and Marty Loughrey, Emma and Jon Bryant, and Rebecca and Paul Tilsley. The most helpful, supportive and respected Grandad, Great-grandad, brother, brother-in-law, uncle and friend to many.
