EAGLE, Maurice John (Maurie) 12.12.1944 – 7.2.2017 S No. NZ17295 LSA, RNZN Passed away 7 Feb 2017 in Hastings following a short battle with cancer. Maurie served in the RNZN from 1962 – 1967, including HMNZS ROTOITI in 1963 and as part of the HMNZS WAIKATO delivery/commissioning crew. Intentions are for Maurie’s ashes to be laid to rest with his parents at a private ceremony in Gisborne on 9 March 17 to be followed by an informal gathering of friends and family at the Gisborne RSA (nominally scheduled for 1400-1600 9 March 17).
