FLINT, Richard Percival (Dick) (JP) (Service No. 8108, Ldg Seaman, RNZN, WWII). Peacefully at Thames Hospital, on 29th December, 2014; aged 90 years. Beloved husband of Mavis, much loved Dad of Carolle and Mike (deceased), Philip and Gail, Barry, Robyn and Brian. Cherished Granddad of Brent, Grant, Shayne, Kirstine, Gavin, Richard, Brendan, Jodi, Nicola, Melanie and Tom, and 13 Great-grandchildren. ‘Will be missed by all’. A celebration of Dick’s life will be held at the Hauraki Plains Co-Operating Parish Church, Darlington St, Ngatea, on Monday 5th January, 2015, at 11am, followed by private cremation. URWIN Raymond ex-WOMAA K16983 passed away in the early hours of Tuesday 16 December 14. Dearly loved husband of Pat. Loved father of Jannine, Grant and Chandra and loved Poppa of 5 grandchildren. Sincere thanks to all Staff at Hospice for their dedicated care to Ray and the support for our family. God bless. Ray served onboard HMNZS Ship’s TASMAN, TARANAKI, OTAGO, WAIKATO, ENDEAVOUR, PAEA, CANTERBURY and TUI as well as onboard HMNZ Bases TAMAKI, PHILOMEL and WAKEFIELD. Ray served 19 Jan 61 – 30 Sep 81, 19 Apr 88 – 18 Apr 94 and became the Defence Travel Supervisor in the Naval Base for 18 years thereafter. He worked over 45 years for the NZDF. He was instrumental in organising and managing the duty travel and relocations of many, many serving personnel. It was Ray’s personal wish that he didn’t have a Service funeral but a memorial service may be promulgated at the discretion of the family in due course. Meanwhile personnel may make donations to the Takapuna Hospice.

Aged 90 years. Loving husband of the late Ngaire. Loved father and father-in-law of Wayne & Marilyn Stevens (Te Horo), Christine & Bryan Drysdale (Masterton), Ashley Stevens & Karen Morrison (Lower Hutt), Julie & Rob Nowlan (Brisbane, Australia), Diane & the late Bryan Denham, and Debra & Tony Short (Wellington).
