MACKISACK Denis George NZ 7764 Able Seaman RNZN – Formerly of Waikanae.  On Tuesday, April 30th, 2013 peacefully at Summerset Village, Palmerston North, aged 93 years.  Dearly loved husband of Noeline, (Noel), much loved father and father-in-law of John and Vivienne (Auckland), Bruce and Eli (Eketahuna), Graham and Leonie (Havelock North), Trish and Darryl Cleland (Palmerston North, loved Grandad of 10 Grand children.  A service to celebrate Denis’s life will be held at the Aokautere Community Church, Moonshine Valley Road, Aokautere on Friday May 3rd 2013 at 1pm.

Devoted father and father-in-law of Warwick, the late Paul, the late Philip, and Diana and Terry King and grandfather to Tabitha and Taylor. BROWN, Rowan James. NZ16043 Warrant Officer Electrician RNZN 12.4.1940 – 12.4.2013 On his 73rd birthday peacefully surrounded by his loving family, after a dignified and courageous battle with cancer, as a result of his exposure to the Christmas Island Tests and the French Nuclear Tests at Mururoa. Dearly loved and treasured life partner of Rosemary for 48 wonderful years of marriage, two amazing children, three amazing grand daughters, you have left us an awesome legacy. Loved father of Ron and Katrina (Auckland), the late baby Michael, the late Janine, Martin and Patricia (Ohope), and Stewart and Morna (WGTN). Cherished grandad of Michelle, Alastair, and Hamuera, and loved great grandad of Troy, Maddison, and Spencer. “Sadly missed, will be forever in our hearts” A service for Ray will be held at Elliotts Rosebank Chapel, 25 Ninth Avenue, on Wednesday 17th April at 2pm followed by a private cremation. WILLIAMS Norman Matthew Blake (Norm), RNZN 7413 WWII – Barbara, Joan and Graham sadly announce that Norm passed away at Christchurch Hospital on April 4, 2013, after being unwell for a while with Hodgkins Lymphoma. We had been married for 64 years. he will be sadly missed. At Norm’s request we had a private family funeral and our six grand children came from all parts of New Zealand to support us, also our two small great granddaughters.
THORPE, Leslie Clifford. CPO RNZN 7564 (BEM) Passed away peacefully at Middlemore Hospital on Tuesday 9th April 2013 aged 85 years. Dearly loved husband of Jeanetta. Loving Dad to Ann and Alan, Leslie and Carol. Loving Grandad to Angela, Richard and Lisa, Christa. Great grandad to Yaslin, Hayley, Emma, Rhys, Abby. Always loved, always remembered. He would not wish for sorrow, he would not wish for tears, he would just want to be remembered throughout the coming years.
