TUPE Justine Thomas Samuel T991754 OSCS (Gunner) crossed the Bar on 20 January 2021 in Melbourne AustraliaJustin’s service was held in Melbourne on Thursday. He joined Jan 91. He was discharged after completing his BCT. His cremation is delayed due to the waiting list thru Covid but is expected within the week. Tom and Margaret are trying desperately to find out which Division and Class he was in. They are hoping to obtain class photos as the others were destroyed. If anyone can help please post on here or send to Margaret and Tom Tupe.

ROSS, Bernard Stanley (Ben Ross). 12245 Leading Hand, Royal Navy and Royal New Zealand Navy. Born May 25, 1929. Passed away on January 24, 2021. On January 2nd, 1948 Ben sailed from Pocklington, England to New Zealand. He married Waina Henare and they had four children: Margaret, Catherine, David and John. After 91 years he passed peacefully surrounded by loved ones. He is laying in state at Waimahae Marae in Motatau where his funeral service will take place at 11 am on Tuesday 26th January. Burial to follow at Takapuna Cemetery in Motatau at 1 pm.

OPAI Eugene Steward 90/2 intake crossed the bar 21 January 2021 after suffering a massive heart attack. Family and shipmates will be gathering at Haven Falls Whangarei, 139 Bank Street, Regent, Whangarei at the chapel at 12.00 on Tuesday, 26 January 2021 for his service starting at 1 pm. He will be cremated at 2.30 and back to the house for the hakari. Everyone is welcome to come and go from the house beforehand. 42 Raumanga Heights Rd, Whangarei

STURROCK John ( Ash ) Service Number W17638 Cook RNZN Passed away peacefully on January 10 2021, a service to celebrate Ash’s life will be held in the Beth Shan Chapel, 157 George’s Drive, Napier on Wednesday 13th at 10 am, Messages to the Sturrock Family c/- PO Box 439 Napier 4140. O’BRIEN, Colin Edward. (OBS). RNZN M19883 WOWEA HMNZS Otago Mururoa Veteran Born February 27, 1953. Set sail on his final voyage 1 January 2021. He was a man who lived life as it was meant to be – full of adventure, laughter, love, generosity, kindness, friendship and mischief. A wonderful father and husband. We will hold you in our hearts always. Colin’s girls. A private service will be held and his ashes will be scattered at sea.
