Fin-credible footage shows whale sharks alongside HMS Spey
HMS Spey has been visited by a shiver of giant sharks whilst deployed in the Indo-Pacific.
A video posted on HMS Spey’s Twitter account – featuring a Jaws-like soundtrack – showed the whale sharks, the largest fish in the world, swimming near the vessel.
Whale sharks can grow up to around 40ft in length and weigh about 11 tonnes. They are listed as endangered by the World Wildlife Fund (WWF).
