Takapu2 is a great expedition style live-aboard and is currently located in the Viaduct Harbour in Auckland, making a very comfortable accommodation with a charter income.

Takapu2 is a 26 metre ex NZ Navy Survey Ship that in 2000 was purchased by the current owners. From 2002 – 2007 the Takapu 2 had a full refit / refurbish with luxurious mahogany polyurethane finished interior. At the same time much of the engineering was upgraded with new generator, 9kw inverters, water-maker, dive compressor, workshop with lathe and drill press etc. The exterior was fully repainted with 2 pot polyurethane, a very large stainless steel boarding platform fitted, large stainless fishing bench added, aluminium upper deck added for tenders etc.. Tenders, kayaks etc are launched by the Hiab crane. In 2002 the Takapu2 was entered into Maritime New Zealand Survey and in 2015 completed her 4 yearly survey under the new MNZ Moss standard including removal, checking and refitting of shafts, props seacocks and rudders. During our ownership she has provided us with a wonderful life style with 4 cruises to the Pacific islands including Tonga, Vanuatu, Fiji and the Fiji Lau Group. Also many extended cruises in NZ. The Takapu2 is very well setup for proven safe extended cruising and easily handled by 2 people. Takapu2 has a history as a charter business and we are sure that a purchaser could continue with and extend this business.  The Takapu2 is offered as a going concern, and so price is plus GST (if any).
