Comms Officer Passes

Regret to advise that John Harling STEER NZ10706 ex LT SD Communicator passed away peacefully 6 Dec 2010 at Fairview Rest Home, North Shore. John joined the Navy 5 April 1945 and served on Achilles, Bellona, Kaniere, Cerberus, Hawea, Irirangi, Mercury, Royalist, Navy Office Wgtn and Maori. John was aged 82 years.

John will be buried at a graveside service to be held at the Memorial Park Cemetery, 235 Schnapper Rock Road, Albany on Friday, 10 December at 1500. All communications to the Steer Family, C/- Dill’s, PO Box 302-524, North Harbour 0751.
