Bunting Crosses the Bar

It is with much regret that I advise the David Ahuriri ex WOYS has crossed the bar.

Mark Te Kani Kia ora tatou, After speaking with Brent, Dave’s son late this afternoon, Dave will be brought to Te Taua Moana Marae at 1100 Wed 14 Jun 17 where he will lie in state until 0900 Thurs when he will be taken to St Christopher’s Chapel (DNB) for a 1000 Service. From there he will be taken to Snapper Rock. All those who are able to support the Marae (ringa wera, kai karanga, kai korero, or any other way you can) please be at the Marae during the morning to aid in preparations. The Navy have two other kaupapa happening at the same time so your support is appreciated.

A funeral to celebrate Davids life will be held at St Christopher’s Chapel in the Naval Base on 15 June 2017 at 1000.  Medals are to be worn.  For those attending the service, car parking on base is limited due to construction works. Vehicles may not gain access.
