Annual Radio Controlled Warship Regatta

This post is to advise that the Annual Radio Controlled Warship  Regatta will be held on 27 March 2011 at ‘El Kobar Pond’.  The pond is located off El Kobar Drive which is off Highbrook Drive (between Papatoetoe and Otahuhu..southern motorway).  The regatta will start at 1000 and complete around 1500.  Remote controlled model warships from all over the upper North Island will be there and most of these models are around 6/7 feet long.  Entry is Free..  For a map of the area click HERE.  If you would like more details please contact Brian Henman on geebeez@xtra.co.nz

One boat to watch out for is the new “Black Prince” cruiser. She isn’t quite complete as yet, but will be on the water..
