WILLIS, Walter John (Wally) Commander RNZN (Rtd) On 25 November, 2013, peacefully at home, aged 95 years. Dearly loved husband of the late Doreen. Loved and respected father and father in law of Simon and Judy, and Richard and Vicky. Much loved grandfather of Sarah and Zack, Louisa, and Thomas, and great grandfather of Carter and Rory. A service will be held at the Naval Memorial Chapel of St. Christopher, HMNZS Philomel (Naval Base), Queens Parade, Devonport, on Wednesday 4 December at 2:00 p.m. Please note that photo ID is required for admission to the Naval Base.Mark Rowley Funeral Services. CDR Willis served in the RNZN from 1941 and retired in 1968.
VERCOE, Neil Te Taute. RNZN 17282. Passed away peacefully at home on 13 November 2013. Beloved Husband of Wai. Beloved Dad of Karen, Neil and Yaelle, Mere and Lawrence, Geoff and Debbie. Koro of Calida, Kaiaotea, Nutana, Haukapuanui, Sonny, Cadyn, Naoma, Kahuao, Ava and Mokopuna Tuarua Kaydence and Kawana. Neil will lie at Pounamuni Marae, Whangamoa Drive, Otaramarae and his funeral service will be held on Saturday 16th November at 11am.
ROBB, Frank Harding 24/03/1927 – 3/11/2013 11270 Leading Hydrographer Frank passed peacefully at North Shore hospital on Sunday afternoon. He was surrounded by family. Much loved dad of Karen, Keith, and Martin, and father in law to John, Naomi, and Angel. A loved grandfather to 9 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Well loved youngest brother of Jim, Joan, and twin brother of Nancy. He will be missed. PEACOCKE, Neville Joseph Fitzroy, Service No. NZ2077. Aged 93 of Mt Maunganui and formerly of Peacockes Road, Hamilton, died peacefully in Tauranga 02 November 2013. Loving husband of the Late Rosha. Father of Ted, Ian, Steve, Peggy and the Late Jill. Grandfather of 10 and Great Grandfather of 12. Served in The NZ Navy during hostilities WWII in Europe and in the Pacific. Farmed in the Waikato, King Country, Waimana and Rotorua Areas as well as in Baltinglass, Southern Ireland. Published Author, Poet, Playwright and Family Historian. He made his bold mark and will be missed by many. A service will be held at the Mount Harbour Chapel, 416 Maunganui Road, Mt Maunganui on Friday 08 November at 11am followed by a private cremation.
