PATE, Michael Robert. OBE (Mil) Cdr RNZN (Rtd) 1940 – 2012. On December 30, 2012, at home in the presence of his loving daughters, Jacqueline and Christina. You demonstrated and taught us patience, love, practicality and independence. Your calm, logical approach to making and fixing things ensured the quality and permanence of each endeavour. Jacque was not a member of the RNZNWA but was in the Navy from 1971 to mid 90s so many women who served during that time would know her..
