David peacefully slipped away on 10 June 2025 aged 92 yrs to join Lurline, his beloved wife. Dearly loved father and in-law of Wayne and Pauline, Brian and Jean, Jennifer and Howard, Heather and Grant. Stepfather to Michelle and Andrew (deceased), Mark and Gaylene. Brother to Howard, Albert and Jimmy. Treasured Poppa to his grand and great grandchildren. The funeral service for David, followed by a cuppa will be held on Friday 13 June at 11am at Morrisons, 220 Lincoln Road, Henderson. Always in our hearts.

A service to celebrate Ron’s life will be held at the North Harbour Chapel of Dil’s Funeral Services, 185 Schnapper Rock Road, Albany, on Thursday 19 June 2025, at 10:30 am. From Palmerston North, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by loving family. Beloved husband of the late Jan. Much loved father and father-in-law of Dianne and David Elgar, Michael (deceased) and Christine, Gregory and Claire, Graeme and Esther. Proud Grandad of Amy, Christopher, Angus, Jack, Sylvia, Alice, James, and Katherine; treasured Great-Grandad of Audrey, and Arthur. Beloved son of the late Arthur and Gladys; dearly loved brother of Ann and the late Arthur, Hugh, and Joan; a dearly missed uncle, cousin and friend who gave so much kindness, strength and unwavering love to those around him. A private cremation has taken place, and a memorial celebration of John’s life will be held in the Cotton’s Chapel, 697 Main Street, Palmerston North, on Saturday, 21 June 2025, at 11.00am.

Passed away unexpectedly but peacefully at home on Friday, 6th June 2025, aged 87 years. Dearly loved husband and companion of Arline for 67 cherished years. Adored father and father-in-law of Nicky & Chris, Karen, and Chris (Jnr). Proud and loving Grandad to his 7 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. The family extends special thanks to the Cambridge Emergency Services for their swift care and to the Cambridge RSA for their ongoing support and friendship. A celebration of Chris’s life will be held at the Victorian Room, Cambridge Town Hall, Victoria Street, Cambridge, on Thursday, 12th June 2025 at 11:00am, followed by a private cremation. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Cambridge RSA would be appreciated and may be left at the service. Peacefully in New Plymouth, on Wednesday 18 June 2025, aged 97. Dearly loved husband of the late Ann for 74 years. Loved Dad of John and Brenda, Paul and Lesleigh (dec), Peter, Stephen, and Maree. Cherished Poppa of Tim, Madelin, Twyla, Vincent, and Zanthe; Rachel, Nicole, and Dylan. Adored Great-Poppa of Rhys, Kayla, Amaya, Blake, Cassius, Tāwhai, Kobe, Delilah, Tai, Lukas, Jonjon, Ted, Willow, and Māhina. Korean veteran Crossed the Bar last night. He will be at home from tonight at 760 Gladstone Road, Gisborne until his funeral on Friday at 1100 am in the Assembly of God church at 82 Grey Street, Gisborne. Maxine has asked that those who wish to see Ian are more than welcome to call in to pay their respects.
