MIA Minister

Most ex-service people would have expected having an ex-sailor with a LAW DEGREE in charge of the New Zealand Armed Forces Military Veteran’s wheelhouse, once the coalition MfV had come to grips with his portfolio, all the Ministerial’ Irish Pennants’ left to flounder by the previous MfVs would be processed in a timely fashion.    However, surprisingly, the military veteran’s ‘things to do’ cupboard remains locked, causing uncertainty for our veterans.   Also, I understand several polite WHEREAT requests to the office of MfV have been brushed aside, which is disappointing.

  • The MfV is dragging the ‘sea anchor’ to get things done! Should military veterans be surprised? The short answer is NO! Over the past seven years, except for Ron Mark, once in office MfVs typically look through the wrong end of their telescope. This disease is commonly known as catching the DONOTHING virus, which lasts about three years. Perhaps a cure for this nasty virus will be found with fair winds and following seas. In the meantime, let’s cling to the words ‘HOPE FOR CHANGE’ and drink several cups of KOMBUCHA! 😀

  • WRT drinking cups of KOMBUCHA, I’m now led to believe the best way forward to ease the Ministerial MIA pain is for armed forces serving and ex-serving people to ‘flag away’ the KOMBUCHA touch and instead join hands and hold frequent and meaningful KUMBAYA therapy sessions. It seems to work for some groups of people—why not us? Sounds like a TUIs Ad.😁
